T4T inspires children and educators by using non-traditional, repurposed materials in unique ways. What’s New

New Science Initiative

Meet our new science kits that foster T4T’s learning by inquiry philosophy in fun lessons full of discovery and unique experiences. Our kits have been developed in conjunction with Caltech alumnus and board member, Dave Zobel, and have been initiated as part of our pilot science program at several schools in the LA and Pasadena unified school districts including: Sierra Madre Middle School, Blair High School and McKinley K-8.

The responses to the kits have been amazing from both teachers and students, who learn important lessons about the scientific method, light and optics, sound waves and so much more, all the while with an underlying commitment and understanding of the importance of sustainability, discovery and the sense of wonder that drives education.
