Professional Development Workshops for Teachers: Workshops are organized for individual schools and are usually held at T4T, but can also be offered off-site at a school or an education conference. Duration: 3 hours + 1 hour material shopping

“Letting Materials Lead the Way”: Looking for a framework to re-think the traditional “make-n-take” project paradigm? This workshop is an immersion into open-end materials and the inspiration they create, from the perspective of the students to the role of the teacher.

“Making Thoughts Visible”: This workshop focuses on three-dimensional symbolic representation (collage, sculpture, model making, etc) and how it promotes inquiry, engagement, critical thinking and the development of academic language.

“Inspiring Environments & Material Management”: How can our classroom environments instigate different types of learning? This workshop will delve into the organization of open-ended materials, from classroom set-ups, to workshops/ateliers, to storage space. The case study for this workshop will be “supporting scientific thinking.”
