Filled with cores, spools, giant tubes, fabric, plastic webbing, paper, wood pieces and countless treasures once destined for landfill, Trash for Teaching’s Treasure Truck is the first stop on an adventure of creativity and environmental education.

The Treasure Truck is a convenient and safe way for students, teachers, and other groups to have a “field trip” experience at their school campus or facility. Designed for easy walk-through, our trucks are filled with well-stocked shelves overflowing with an abundance of endless gems.

Our Teaching Artists and Education Specialists begin each Treasure Truck visit with a short introduction to the environmental benefits of reuse. Students and teachers alike then select and take away items that challenge their preconceived notions of “trash”.
